In charge, on the job, always left behind…

Im the responsible one, but Im always left behind. Jack belongs to me. It’s my job to check him all over and make sure he’s ok. On the fridge, along the windscreen, down on the floor, under the bonnet, up on the roof. You name it, I check it.

She takes him away clean and brings him back filthy, covered in dust and dirt and god knows what else. He always smells interesting though, and Im curious about some of the places they go. What would they be like? Would I like it there too?

Im Lily, of course. I own this place and everything in it, and I own this human. She’s ok but could be more obsequious. I used to live in a house down the road but I wanted control of the whole block so I moved into this house which is better located for block domination.

I also really liked the yellow Jeep and of course now he’s mine and we are best buds. I love him. I love hanging out in him and with him. He warms me up in winter, when he comes back from anywhere, and gives me a safe, cool shady space to hang out under in the summer months. When Im in Jack I feel like Adventure Cat, ready to explore and take over the world! One day maybe…I’ll get to go on a trip too. Maybe I’ll get to see some of these different smelling places they go to, find out what all the fuss is about.

Now I have Jilly to take care of too. She’s awesome too! So many places to hide, so many nooks and crannies to explore. Sometimes the human even hangs out in there with me too, which is kinda cool.

I’m on duty over the next few weeks while the human goes off on her own and leaves all of us behind. Im looking forward to it! Me n Jack n Jilly, Jack n me n Jilly, Jilly, Jack n me.….we can have our own adventures… in my head at least anyway 😉
