Pinch me moments

OMG! Stop the car! Are you kidding me?!

It’s been a refreshing change not to be driving. Enjoying sitting in the passenger seat and making the most of looking around and taking in the stunning scenery. I recently read a post where someone had asked where the best places to shoot (with a camera) are in New Zealand, and was told that there is incredible picture-worthy scenes around every corner.

They’re not wrong!

Our drive from Christchurch across Arthurs Pass to the West Coast was filled with ‘Oh my god!’ ‘Stop the car!’ ‘This is crazy!’ (Meaning crazy good, crazy incredible), as my mind was blown away pretty much every corner we drove around.

Believe me, there are tons of corners on that road. I said to my travel bud on our first day out, I feel like every time we go around another corner there’s something to see, I want to stop and spend an hour or so at least in each spot - I’m feeling like a more focused and planned followup trip is in the very early stages…

There’s a definite sense of freedom knowing you can run into any overgrown grassy space, climb around deadwood, clamber over and through rocky terrain, push your way through undergrowth, and not worry that you might tread on or disturb something that will try and bite or sting you, cause you incredible pain or even death.
