Meet the team…

Jack rarely travels alone, and he’s well used to being used as a take off and landing zone for drones.

So…let me introduce you to the crew.

Lil guy is a Mavic 2 Pro and has been around for about 4-ish years or so.He was a largely unplanned but thought about, spur of the moment decision, after flying a Phantom Pro 4 for a year or so. The Phantom was pretty big and took up a lot of space, especially when travelling with other camera gear.Lil guy is far more compact,. He’s been my absolute workhorse and has never let me down.

Next up we have little Freely. I originally called her Freya but then I completely forgot, and so she became Freely. She is a little DJI Mini 3 Pro and is still pretty new to the crew.

Her main roles are as back up for when I run out of battery for the bigger drones, as well as she does a lot of recon out on our trips. She is the smallest of the fleet and weighs in just under 249g, which means she can pretty much fly in most places including some that other bigger drones sometimes can’t.

She’s super compact, very cute and is not to be underestimated.

Then there’s Maximilian…the newest member of the crew. He’s a Mavic 3 Pro and is so super cool. He flies like a dream, shoots like a pro and has all round class. His batteries last almost twice as long as those for Lil Guy, so he can stay out much longer, He flies much more smoothly and truly blew my mind on our first trip together. I was impressed with the quality of the images, the cameras and their capability. It’s a total step up - sorry Lil Guy.

No team introduction would be complete if I left out she who is in charge of quality assurance. Her (self appointed) role is to check Jack over inside and out to make sure the basics are well covered and everything is up to standard. She keeps a close eye on the fridge, being 10 years old now, so she likes to make sure it’s working well, is sitting level, and is well situated in the vehicle. She checks to make sure my gear is well stashed, as well as checking under the hood to see that all fluid levels are topped up and that Jack is ready for action. Thanks Lily, where would we be without you

So thats how it all comes together…and who’s who in my little zoo.
